As a support pedagogue with us, you will have a varied and fun job that involves many contact points. The day should be understandable for the individual, where structure, clarity, and security are cornerstones. For us, respect for people's self-determination and integrity is the foundation of our work.

Our Grodden is for children and young people with various disabilities. Here, there is an opportunity for a change of environment and relaxation for those who live with us, and relief for parents. We have several LSS interventions that can help children and young people with different disabilities.

Job Responsibilities

As a support pedagogue, you will develop, plan, evaluate, and lead the pedagogical work while being part of the everyday work of providing children/young people with support in their daily lives. You are expected to drive method development and provide your colleagues with methodological guidance based on the individual’s needs and interests. As a support pedagogue, you will be involved in establishing implementation plans and working towards set goals together with other colleagues. The support pedagogues are responsible for pedagogical assessments and mappings to find the right support and adaptations for each individual child/youth. The support pedagogues also work with children and young people who, for various reasons, are not in the activities, which requires high flexibility and solution-focused approaches.

We work in teams and actively focus on the best interests of the children and young people. The support pedagogues often collaborate with other activities such as schools, BUP, and habilitation.

Who are you?

You are secure and independent when it comes to working with clarifying pedagogy, adaptations, communication, and challenging behavior. It is natural for you to work in a team-oriented and unpretentious manner. You have a talent for planning and evaluating work and have a strong sense of responsibility regarding supporting colleagues.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where creativity and independence are important qualities. Furthermore, you have a professional attitude, the ability to collaborate with the individual, relatives, colleagues, and other professional groups. The work places high demands on working pedagogically in a structured and clarifying manner. You see the whole picture and have the ability to lead and guide other employees in groups and individually. Our operations have grown over a longer period, and we see that it will continue to grow in the future. We need to adapt to more flexible solutions, which makes previous experience in support pedagogue work important for taking on and developing the role and operations.

Requirements:

• Education as a support pedagogue or other equivalent education, with at least 200 yh or 60 hp,
• Driver's license B.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience as a support pedagogue within LSS,
• Experience working with disabilities,
• Basic digital competence.

The position is a permanent employment, with start date as agreed. The employment may begin with a probationary period. Your working hours as a support pedagogue will be scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and possibly also on-call shifts.

Your employment will be within the Social Welfare Sector of Lidköping Municipality, which means that you may work in other units than Grodden.
